Hill package

I think we may benefit mostly from it by forcing our opponents to practice for it. If they're using practice time to prepare for hill, less time they're concentrating on drew, kamara, Ingram, Thomas, and Meredith

Probably a big reason we are using him more and you are correct, teams will have to spend a good amount of time game planning him. It’s like game plannning for a poor man’s Cam Newton but still having to focus on Brees.

I like the RPO with Hill.
But are we letting him actually pass?
I ask because I couldn't see most of the game yesterday.

The pass to Kamara should’ve been a TD

He threw a sweet pass to AK that should have been a touchdown catch

Im sure Sean will keep adding to "the Hill package"
Sean is just trying to get teams to over commit to stopping the "predictable" play first...which they currently still struggle to do

Hill escaped the pocket, bootlegged to the right side of the field, threw an accurate high pass over a defender to Kamara that was above his head but hit him in the hands and for whatever reason Kamara just didnt come down with it.

Yup. It was a nice touch on the pass that Kamara dropped. Did we have 3 TD passes dropped yesterday? The one to Thomas looked like it was shot out of his belly!

Well, what happened?
He threw a pass to Kamara that was dropped, should have been a TD. Is that what you are asking? Hill also threw a pass on a fake punt that was caught and got a 1st down.
ETA: Other posters explained it much better lol

I can't wait for Brees to catch a td soon

I honestly believe the fake punt play won the game for us.

It did. Huge momentum shift.

Should only get bigger the more we play with it.

Would have been a good first reply, instead I ruined it with a serious response

Planning for a poor man's Cam Newton.... I like that!!! And another weapon we have to confuse a defense.... especially during playoff time.

They're finally using him in the role he's perfect for. Hopefully we continue to see him at WR and different flex position to add another wrinkle into the team. With Ingram coming back next week, I find it very hard to see a team that can stop this offense. Only thing that can stop our offense is injuries.

Thought this was a post about Taysom hills package. Severely disappointed

The whole foundation of that play contributed to successfully completing it. You have a gunner who is a former wide receiver and a upback that is a dual threat quarter back. The gunner ran a hitch just like a wideout would and Hill threw the pass running to his right. It was an easy pitch and catch executed perfectly. Think about it. Using Hill as a regular upback, this will force defenders to play off the gunners giving them a free release off the line. Otherwise, they run the risk of being wide open for a pass on a fake punt.
