Shoot, if I'm gonna drive, I'll go to Roberto's

I’ll be there this evening. I go often and like it. I had La Lagniappe Thursday night and it was great as usual so this is the reason I won’t drive to New Roads. If I was hanging out on False River I would go but not a special trip. I used to make the run to Joe’s in Livonia which, when first opened, was fantastic. When it closed it was a shell of itself.

I will cross the bridge from St. Francisville to eat there but I wont drive any further than that to eat there.

I luckily have a client in New Roads whom I visit often, so I’m no stranger to Hot Tails.

I’ve never had a bad meal there, but I’ve also never had a meal there that blew me away either.

So it’s consistent and/or solid?

Absolutely....we have a camp at False River and go to Hot Tails often. Their steaks are highly underrated. Get the ribeye with the BBQ shrimp topping. Also, their Soft shell crab BLT is to die for.

We have a camp there as well.

How does Hot Tails compare to Morel's? That has been one of our go to's when not cooking

I like Hot Tails I go there for lunch a lot, but personally I like Morel’s better.

They have some decent specials at Morel’s most of the time.

Morel’s

Overpriced and not very good the last time my wife and I went there we swore it would be the last.
And don’t get me started on Satterfields.

Ma mamas is legit.

The Francis usually has more children and can't manage to clean up all the French fries, napkins, and kid messes off the floor. I also really like not your mama's if I am on 190.

Also satterfields is absolutely horrible. Never had morels or ma mamas.

Take out from Francis smokehouse is excellent.

Yeah, not a fan of Satterfields. It's basically a tourist trap.

Never been to ma Mama's or hot tails, but will try both soon

Morels has always been solid IMO, but it is on the expensive side

I've never been to Hot Tails so I couldn't say. I will say that the old Joe Dryfus was totally worth the drive back when they were killin it.
