Keeping coolers cold during hunting and camping

Hey Folks,
I often see questions floating around forums regarding coolers and keeping them cold. Usually, I take a cheap cooler with me and by day #2, it is 100% water. Meaning all of my food or fish that I caught is spoiled.
Theres a few things I have done recently that have helped a ton and I wanted to see if anyone else had additional suggestions!
First and foremost, getting a nicer cooler is incredibly helpful. We all know Yeti coolers, but here are some coolers cheaper then Yeti with better performance! https://buyerbenchmark.com/best-cooler-for-camping/
Additionally, you can do the following with your current cooler.
1. Pre-chill all items (freeze the ones you can)
2. Pre-chill the cooler
3. Use block or dry ice
4. Keep it out of the Sun
5. Try not to open it up as much (keep drinks in a seperate place)
We out together a large list of tips on [link=(keeping your ice from melting )]https://buyerbenchmark.com/how-to-keep-ice-from-melting/[/link]if interested!

Pre-chill the cooler
Opening a Yeti after pre cooling is the surest way to get someone killed.

OB special is where it’s at.

Darker colors also absorb more heat. Thats why my cooler has no colors

your study is kinda dumb, of course the only 65qt cooler is going to hold ice longer than the 50s and 45s.

When returning from Western hunts, we would:
Buy dry ice
Duct tape the crack between lid and cooler

Anyone heard about a no cooler order lately? Last I heard, which was a couple of months ago, there was to be a container delivered to Houston early to mid august. I've not seen a follow-up email

Ice seems to work. Big blocks of ice formed in Chinese takee-outee soup containers.
