Indulge me for a min.
Suppose LSU loses to Georgia and beats Bama. LSU then beats Georgia in the SEC CG.
LSU is in as a One loss SEC Champ. Bama is in because Bama. Are you really going to penalize UGA for going undefeated and losing a second game against a team they beat already?

But Alabama will beat LSU by 24 so no worries.

I’ll believe that when I see it. Eye test and all.

Oh you’re probably right. But my scenario was chosen with those teams in specific places for that purpose.

Georgia
Ohio State
Alabama
Clemson
In no specific order...
It would be a travesty to see Notre Dame get in and be dominated by either of the other 3.

Bama will need four losses before they miss the playoff.

This sounds like something a jealous 9 year old would say

There was some truth to this last year.

Bama's resume entering the playoffs since the playoffs began
2014: 1-loss SEC Champ
2015: 1-loss SEC Champ
2016: undefeated SEC Champ
2017: 1-loss division co-champ
Now let's talk about 2017. Bama got in as a 4 seed, because UGA won the SEC title. As you may recall, they were NOT putting Bama in over a 2-loss SEC Champ Auburn had they won the SEC Title. You know who DID get in, as a division co-champ, over a 2-loss conference champ who beat them? 2016 Ohio State. And as the 3 seed no less!
Of course the main difference is Bama won 2 playoff games and the title instead of getting demolished 31-0 in the first round.

I’m on the anybody but fricking Alabama train, just like I have been since 2014.
I’ll be right one of these years.
