Triplett:

Per @ESPNStatsInfo Alvin Kamara became just the second player in Super Bowl era with at least 15 rushes and 15 receptions in a single game (the other was the Vikings’ Rickey Young in 1979). Kamara was the first RB with 15 catches in a game since Atlanta’s William Andrews in 1981.

We're obviously leaning on him in the running game until Ingram gets back. I like seeing it, but I'm ready for him to be able to share the load.

I saw a lot of instances where I thought Kamara could have cut inside and got more yards instead of just trotting out of bounds to avoid a hit, but I'm curious if the coaches have been on him about not taking unnecessary hits while Ingram is out.l

doesn't seem so when we were throwing him out there for punt returns

I agree. But there were a few instances where I was kind of annoyed that he gave up on the play so easy, especially with his move set. Could have easily cut inside and got a few more yards or broken the play wide open.

maybe more about security after the first 2 weeks where players did too much and lost the ball.

I hope he continues to do this. Keep him fresh as long as possible.

Kamara is a hell of a weapon. I don’t want him getting hurt fighting for 3 extra yards in week 3.

I think it's fair to say he looked gassed towards the end of the game. I mean, the guy had 15 catches on 20 targets and 15 rushes. Keep grindin Alvin!

If we didn’t have kamara, we would be 0-3

When Ingram gets back I would expect he takes at least half of Kamaras runs and all of Gillislee's. Kamara has been a soldier over these three weeks.

Me too. I think Kamara is a more effective back with Igram than without him when he can be fresh all game and not have to take the beating between the tackles.

As meh as this team is playing, we're still a turnover or two away from being unbeaten. Not bad with our #1 back being suspended for 4 games.

Both Gillislee & Jonathan Williams have looked very bland to me. Can't wait for Ingram to come back in a couple weeks. Gillislee or Jonathan Williams will be cut (not both though) when Ingram returns imo.

I think our most dangerous lineup is Ingram in the backfield with Kamara, Thomas, Ginn, & Meredith/Watson/Tre'Quan split out wide. You have to stick a CB on Kamara & Thomas...that opens it up for everyone else. Ingram has legit hands & also can pass block great.

Throw in Taysom Hill with a RPO every now & then. So far, the other team has tried to call a timeout when they see Taysom Hill back there.

Watched some of the replays and one of the plays I'm talking about happen on the first drive.

I thought it was pretty obvious Kamara was gassed in the 4th and ot yesterday. He was still effective but he lost that out of this world acceleration and deceleration.

Hes the man, but he needs his partner for him to be utilized to 100% effectiveness imo. He needs to know he can floor it on every play because he only has to touch the ball 12 to 16 times a game

Kamara is everything everybody was hoping Reggie Bush would be.
