Not sure, but I’d imagine he was probably one of the bigger kids growing so he didn’t really take jumpers at the lower levels. He was at LSU for a year. They weren’t going to try and make him hit jumpers either.

You said you played in college and you didn’t really work on your actual shot that much. I played golf in college and we never really worked on changing swing mechanics. It was more fine tuning what we’d already learned. The Sixers are going to have a long term investment in him, so I can see how it’s possible that he’s never really worked on his shot until now. He’s never had to.
