Within six months, the CBS sitcom starring real-life spouses Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz was America's No. 1 show, with about 11 million families tuning in every week -- and that was when there were only 15 million TV sets in the country.

IMO, it is t even debatable. The situations were always funny and and some of the most classic moments in television history

Top Ten, yes.

Top Five, maybe.

The best alltime is All In The Family and it isn’t debatable.

Seinfeld is my personal favorite, but I Love Lucy is up there both personally and definitely for greatest of all time.

I think others in the running are All in the Family, The Honeymooners, MASH, Cheers, and The Simpsons.

it's definitely in the discussion.

another interesting question is where does Lucy Ricardo rank as greatest tv characters of all time- I'd have her second to Tony Soprano.

The Andy Griffith Show is better than I Love Lucy.

Fun trivia...

In the first couple seasons of Andy Griffith, the Mayberry pharmacy has magazines on display with I Love Lucy on the cover. Produced by the same studio.

If you look close you can spot it.

My All-Time Top Five:

I Love Lucy
The Honeymooners
Amos and Andy (sorry it got labeled racially insensitive - these actors were really good)
Frazier
Fawlty Towers (BBC)
