Vancouver Transportation Recs?

Anyone have any experience getting around Vancouver?
Heading up there in a few weeks. My understanding is that they don't have Uber. Any other ride-sharing options or best ways to get around town?
Will be staying near English Bay Beach on the West End.

Vancouver public transportation is great, particularly the bus system.
Other than that, Vancouver is an extremely walkable/bikable city.

You have SO many options. Of course the water taxi is right there . The sky train. Walking. Bike lanes everywhere. The bus. It's a phenomenal city for public transportation and pedestrian traffic. I went for two weeks in June and I walked ten miles per day.

You can use apple / Google pay on their public transportation. Pretty convenient
