Have we as society become so sensitive?? I have ruffled some feathers one or twice. When some stranger was looking at me for too long.

I work with a northern-style Mason Dixon jumper of a yankee. He's an okay guy I guess but when you say something to him and he doesn't quite catch it, he doesn't say "Excuse me?", or "Huh?" or anything like that. He says "What did you say?"
I don't know if it's just the WAY he says it, but it comes out like "Say that shite one more time, MFer! I dare you!" He obviously doesn't intend for it to sound rude but it totally does.
Typical yankee shite.
