A woman in Moss Bluff a few years back shot a massive whitetail that had escaped from a pen, I believe she wasn't charged with anything and I think everything the owner of the deer tried to get her to pay for it was also denied. If I remember correctly the deer owner may have been fined due to not reporting the animal was missing to LDWF.

I know the former owner of the deer and one of my favorite past times is giving him shite about it. I won’t say their name but they own Final Touch. To my knowledge, he didn’t really try to go after them for anything. He just accepted the loss. He claimed it was a $20,000 loss.
