with your racist and sexist ways.

Robots can become 'racist and sexist' all on their own, study finds

The study, published in Scientific Reports, showed that virtual simulated robots would shun others, forming their own groups.

Alphas with the alphas and the others over there.

So; robots over here. Everyone else over there. Robots win. Humans lose. Skynet. You know the rest.

I wonder if they refer to it as "the community" too

Remember the Google gorilla controversy? I do. #neverforget

I am surprised so many Progressives still support Google after that blatant racist mess. Guess they do not care when it is one of their own.

So this AI can learn to shun groups of people based on their unacceptable behaviors?

Welcome home, 2XL!

virtual simulated robots

A couple problems here...

- Are robots (and all computer-based AI) not only a product of the programmers behind them? So they programmed them to be racist and sexist in some way and are surprised they became such. Makes sense.

- I for one, think a racist robot sounds like the potential for hilarity to ensue. Is it really racist when the source isn’t even a life form and thus has no race? Is it possible to be angry at one that has no race, and therefore doesn’t find their own race superior?

Wish it linked to the actual report. It sounds fascinating.

I would assume the “races” are either hardware or software based.

Think of it as if they were phones.

IOS vs various Android OS vs Microsoft vs Blackberry.

That's cliquish behavior, not racism or sexism. The robots are behaving like teenaged girls.

Racist only in terms of the current Left.

Software is basically programmed to analyze statistics, recognize trends and patterns, crunch numbers, and spit out a reasonable response with the provided data.

Problem is facts and statistics are considered racist these days by the Left, so no wonder they think robots are racist.
