Didn’t vandy say they wanted the kid to be eligible to play for HHS and they were gonna propose some other type of punishment. What happened with that?

It's called "lip service." They issued a statement to try and downplay their part in this whole thing and paint them in a better light. The statement oozed with insincerity.

Only a small town Catholic school would think they get to decide what the punishment will be for coaches and players no longer involved with their school.
