Where can I find this... the only thing I see is what nola.com posted

signed... again... someone that lost my whole sophomore and 80% of my senior year due to parental inaction/action.
The fact that you were screwed over doesn't excuse the LHSAA from screwing other people over.

1. transfer before the school year ended.
That would seem to be a bad result for academic progress. I thought it was about the STUDENT-athlete. Him finishing the school year at the school makes the most sense from an academic standpoint.

The entire student athlete advisory committee that the LHSAA formed with much fanfare needs to take a stand and disband in protest... since the LHSAA clearly doesn't respect one of their own

lsufanhouston....
I didn't nor did the grand parent I was living with know the rule - coaches assumed she had custody of me.... and it was a clear violation of me living with a non custodial parent.....
agree with you on that... but did hahnville run it by LHSAA ahead of time requesting a hardship - I know a high profile transfer as a senior a couple years ago went to the LHSAA as did the new school - instead of the other way around.
for all of you throwing VC under the bus..... do you know if the dad contacted other schools about him coaching and his son playing there?
again I feel for the kid - and from my experience over the years since then I have been involved with helping steer parents it getting a hardship and or eligibility the right way.
again I feel for the kid - but the adults around him knew they were playing with fire.. if he was a junior.. he'd be good to go next year.. If you have different rules for seniors all hell would break loose.

How many people who move don’t look for the best athletic or academic options for their kids? NONE

Long line of handouts associated with his success--directly or indirectly.

I'm thinking here of his run-in with law enforcement in Monroe. Weed and a stolen gun in the car, and he skates. Mighty fortunate.

Pockets lined.
Pockets lined when he miraculously became eligible at WM too.
Ouachita had all the documentation and everything detailing how bogus the transfer was and still he was ruled eligible.
You know damn well they all knew he was a sure fire NFL player for years and why not ride that to a good payout down the road?
As i said, $$$$$$$... Also, there isnt a school in Louisiana with the wads of cash that West Monroe has. No one.

That's probably not true. But the schools with more aren't willing to spend it the same way.

In terms of revenue from Football, i assure you it is true. In fact a few years ago USA Today did a really good job of finding the most profitable high school football team in the nation and WM was in the top 10.
Ill attempt to find the article. Listed them all.
But what you mentioned about how it is used is definitely true.

But that's different than the money we're talking about. I don't doubt WM is biggest rev generator in the state as far as football goes.
But we're not talking about the money everyone sees.

Just watched the final ruling video on Eric Richey's twitter. Bunch of assholes on that board. You can play right away if you move to Vandy's area and go back. Like that is really an option.
I'm glad my kids have moved to Texas, a state that handles it way better than this joke of a state. They're kids will be much better off in both academics and athletics.

Vandebilt Catholic is a shite school. I knew that. But the coach is a prime time dickhead.

Throughout the hearing, the Robisons did their best to explain why they left Vandebilt, attempting to make it clear they were not welcomed back. Colyer Robison described the May 1 firing of her husband as the catalyst to the move and that not only would they no longer to be able to afford Catholic school, but that "the environment in Houma became toxic."
She alleged soon after her husband was fired and it became clear Andrew wished to leave, Vandebilt offered Drew a job as a volunteer coach and Andrew could remain at the school tuition free, which would be in violation of LHSAA rules and that "we wanted no part of that."
Andrew Robison said not only did he "not have a school to attend for my senior year," but that Vandebilt coach Jeremy Atwell became "verbally abusive" toward him on several occasions and said he would not be welcomed back to the Terriers football program. When the Robison family chose Hahnville, Andrew said he was taken out of class "almost every day" over the final weeks of his junior year by Atwell for hours at a time for one-on-one meetings which "started as discussion, moved into debate, and eventually he became verbally abusive in an attempt to intimidate me by threatening me."
"Coach Atwell promised me I would be fully eligible at Hahnville if that's what I wanted to do," Andrew testified at the hearing. "A couple of weeks later when it was clear I was interested in Hahnville, he told me, 'I would never be eligible, and I would make sure of it.'
"I learned that during the next two weeks, Coach Atwell called at least two college coaches who were actively recruiting me to let them know I was a low-character recruit and to take me off their list. He later told me, 'I hope your team has a terrible season so I can say I told you so.' "
Sounds like a fine school the Catholics of South Louisiana are supporting over at Vandebilt Catholic. I hope the kid and his family go scorched earth on that school.

So despite his legit move out of district, he can go back to his old district (which at this point, would CLEARLY only be for athletic reasons) and get instant eligibility?
How is that even possible? What an absolute joke the LHSAA is. Time for a new association.

Many have called for it, but the privates all by themselves, are beyond fractured and don't have the wherewithal to pull it off. Or so I've read these last five years.
Vandebilt are a Brothers of the Sacred Heart School so this saddens me that they've allowed this coach to do this. But it doesn't surprise me, either.
