Well, my z06 puts down over 700hp to the rear tires and runs 9s and 140 in the 1/4. I dont know about you, but that is "high performance."

And I certainly dont fit the redneck description.

I think there are a lot of valid points made but I think we all overlook one aspect of what the o-line have been asked to do for the last 8 years. They have been asked to run block and be physical. Ground and pound. It takes a lot less skill to do that. Pass blocking takes a lot work and skill. This is not something these guys have had to do much. It takes more than 1 year to get guys up to speed on pass blocking if they never did it much in highschool or when they get to college. This is why A&M will have an easier transition because they were already doing a ton of pass blocking under Sumlin. I think it will take time to build back up that culture of being able to run block and pass block at a high level. To answer the question of why do we hear every year that the passing is going to get fixed and we are going to sling it around, the answer is we cannot. We don't have guys on the line that are sufficient to do so 30 plus times a game. I think they work on it during spring and fall camp a lot but the guys we have playing now don't have enough experience doing it. Couple that with the points made on this post about recruiting and attrition and you can see why it is this way. It has been a ground hogs day with passing and pass blocking for so long I hate to sound cliche but I think the passing will be better next year and even better in 2 years. I think Burrows numbers this year are going to look similar to Etlings 2 years ago. However, I still don't think we will see an offense under CEO and SE that is throwing 30 plus times a game. Next year will be more like 20-25 PA, 2500 yards,15-18 passing TDs per year will prob be the ceiling under this offense. This year, not so much.

Be honest, is this a reaction to the fact we didn't look dominate vs SELA?

Yes it is. I get some of the reasons stated, but good teams dominate in cases like this. Even a championship team can have a bad game. But 2 games into 2018, it just doesn’t seem that things are better. We may kick into high gear this week and things will improve, but until then, it just looks like the same old predictable offense that we have seen for the past____(you fill in the blank) years .

Same Issues Every YearThis is what I wonder too. I can't wrap my head around how we continue to not address the same damn issues year in and year out.
The issus are especially retarded fans who think they know a lot and don't!

Our offensive woes have been directly attributable to QB development. We have had guys with talent, but were never developed and taught how to play the position. Example... Mond sucked last year. One off season with Jimbo and he looks like a young Andrew Luck. We have not had that luxury in forever.

Yeah and how would 90 percent of college football's offensive schemes work against auburn, Uga, and Alabama. Face it we need better players, development, and exection across the board but especially on the OL. There is no scheming around being overmatched in the trenches.

Oh boy, how did jimbos qb do last year? Not good. How good was Marcus Randal under jimbo? How good was Xavier lee, drew weatherford? Jake Coker? It’s not all coaching. It’s more talent evaluation.

You think Brett farve got great qb development from cult hall man? Kirk Werner, Big Ben, joe Flacco, Carson wentz, etc got better qb development at smaller schools?

So Mack brown is a qb expert with apple white, colt McCoy, Vince young? He had his share of busts too.

Miles was a real piece of work. It was as though he thought offense was not necessary to win.
Miles having 4/5 highest scoring offenses in LSU history makes this a really ignorant statement.

Not exactly the same if the DC and OC were also let go. Why promote Orgeron over Aranda? What was the reasoning? Can you explain it?

Thanks.
