the amount of time he put into that is insane. Underhill is probably the best beat writer in the NFL. we're lucky to have him.

Which is why a lot of the know-nothing amateurs in local media who've been doing JR High School-level work for years resent him.
And the interaction he has with locals through social media, going on smaller podcasts etc that don't really benefit him, is admirable as well.

Yeah no shite. I could tell right away the first time I read an article of his that the dude REALLY digs deep into the subject to try to get as much accurate info as possible.
I think it may have been a piece on Rob Ryan's defense or something. Like just VERY detailed shite.
And he's very friendly and will take time to answer questions.
I felt the same way about Holder when he first got to the TP, but then he quickly started going downhill (my guess is Duncan rubbed off of him too much, and Duncan and Payton have never liked each other).
And even with how much I like(d) Tripps works, Underhill is just on another level with detail.
He definitely puts EVERY local writer, and most national writers, to shame.
We are truly lucky to have him.
