I am aware we have a very tough schedule. I really am hoping we land in a NY6 bowl preferably the sugar or peach bowl. Is there a shot we manage the schedule and get to one of these two? 10-2 record?

Auburn made it to the peach last year with 3 losses and the sugar in 2016 with 4 losses.

Depending on how others do in the conference, its possible for us to make it to a NY6 with 3 losses, given our schedule.

Last year 2 SEC teams made the playoffs and Auburn won the SECW and beat both of them. The year before outside of Alabama the SEC was hot garbage. Had we beaten Florida we probably would have made the Sugar over them.

I doubt 2 SEC teams make the playoffs this year so will be tougher for team with more than 2 losses to make it.

The Sugar is required to take the top SEC team that is not in the playoffs.

F$&k Atlanta. That city is the worst SEC bowl destination other than Shreveport and Birmingham.

Umm what?

There is a shite load to do in Atlanta, traffic sucks but that’s a fun city.

Shreveport and Birnginahm bowls suck but if you like fishing and golf then both can be a badass trip.

I’d much rather go to those than the Idaho potatoe bowl.

Honestly, I would rather go to Boise for a bowl game. It’s a really cool town with beautiful scenery. LSU plays in Atlanta for one reason or another every year or two. It gets old FAST, and was old 10 years ago. It has nothing to do with the falcons or any of their pro sports franchises. The city is just mediocre at everything it tries to do, isn’t special or unique in any way, has atrocious traffic, and a completely unreliable mass transit system.

I would not complain about a kickoff game there.

LSU hasn't played in Atlanta for 6 years.

ETA: Forgot 2012 Chic Fil A Bowl.

As a visitor, you wouldn't have to step foot in a car if you flew - get on MARTA at ATL, stay in downtown, midtown, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, etc then ride MARTA to the game. Very easy

I mean... sure? It's barely even September, though man. We also could wind up 8-4 and in a listless bowl in Florida. Let's maybe wait until we play 1 conference game before we start to talk bowl destinations.
