Selling shite in person from internet ads is sketchy AF.
I've gotten people to meet in the police station parking lot before, for some bigger items that involved a fair amount of cash. The police actually encourage that.

Had one guy insist on not meeting there because it was too far away from his place, so I offered to meet at his local precinct, then he shut off communication.
