MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -
The new Alliance of American Football announced the signings of more than 100 players, bringing their total signings to date up to 205.

The AAF's eight teams, including Memphis, will have about 50 players per squad.

So far, the Memphis AAF team has 50 players under contract, including 16 names released today.

Former University of Memphis offensive lineman Gabe Kuhn--a three-year starter for the Tigers--was one of the players signed by the AAF Memphis team. Kuhn can play both guard positions and center.

Also signing with the Bluff City's AAF team were a couple of former LSU stars, including 6-foot, 231-pound running back Kenny Hilliard, a seventh-round pick NFL Draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2015 and quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who was picked in the sixth round by the Tennessee Titans in 2014.

At 6-feet-5 inches tall and 224 pounds, Mettenberger also played for the San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Training camp for the AAF's eight teams opens Jan. 4 in San Antonio. The first game is February 9.

Do they pay good? We might see more college fb players testing the water with the NFL and AAF after their junior year.

Speak for yourself. I don't give AF about AAF.

Reckon one of these leagues/teams will welcome Justin McMillan? shite, he can play at some small college this semester and then try to make the jump there.

AAF has the jump on the XFL, not sure there’s enough talent out there to support 2 secondary leagues and have any kind of decent quality of play.

I look forward to getting my Mett AAF updates here on the rant, because I will not remember to seek it out otherwise.
