That's funny that Jackie Robinson is presented as an example of greatness, when in fact that whole episode underscores the types of deficiencies Cuomo is likely referencing
What’s that? Being able to see an injustice and fight for the change of status quo?
If America wasn’t great there would still be a negro league. Blacks would not have advanced without the republicans fighting for them.

Cuomo should decide which country is greater and get the he'll out of the U.S. Venezeula would be a nice fit for this POS.

Dems should stick with the “America was never great” line. It is a great way to show your true colors and influence votes!!
TDS is so prevalent that Dems are now arguing why America has never been a great country. What a time!

So how long ago is good enough for you? 153 years ago when over half a million lives were lost fighting a civil war?
You 'tards are disgusting.

This will be repeated over and over again if that frickstain runs for President.

Cuomo can eat a bag of dicks

we've done some great things as a nation and we have also done some shitty things, just like a lot of other nations. sugar coating history keeps us from learning from our mistakes and not repeating them.

While I agree with this first part, we're talking approx. three generations over 70 years. Any idea how old the culture of American welfare is and how it just supported and continued a culture of uneducated dependency.
Capitalism is not what makes America great.
Equal opportunity is what makes America great. Unfortunately, most of the USA's existence does not include pure equality.
So, excuse me when I turn my nose up at the privileged folks who say, "that was 70 years ago; get over it". That, sir, is un-American and is adverse to the American dream.

Can one of tards give us the benchmark from which we'll know that all of these injustices you claim will finally be over?

Can you name a more racially diverse nation than the United States?

Of course he is. And the MSM will easily let him off the hook by saying he was taken out of context or using hyperbole to make a point or just simply misspoke.
However, it was a conservative, they would talk about it constantly making any republican specifically condemn or disavow the person.

quote:Of course not. Why is the assumption that other countries aren't worse?
Can you point me to a country with no "deficiencies" in their history?
quote:I don't need to speak in these superlative notes. I think this country is clearly among the best that ever existed. I'm extremely glad I was born here instead of some hellhole (also extremely glad to have been born white, or this country might have still been a hellhole of sorts for me.) And to the extent that it's "great", this current moment is almost certainly the greatest in its history. And there were many periods when the country was demonstrably not great.
Do you think this country isn't great or ever was great?
Actually, it's curious to me that the crowd who claims to believe that abortion is "baby murder" can simultaneously be so triggered when someone says the country isn't great. For the past 40+ years, this "great" country has officially, legally sanctioned a baby holocaust in numbers that are scarcely imaginable. And yet we are "great"? That doesn't really square.
