Keep recruiting him after two major knee injuries
Give him a redshirt season and the kid quits after first scrimmage he has no heart
Don't get it

Who cares. He did what’s best for him, and is trying to put himself in the best position. He isn’t here to please this board. Our QB position is fine and people need to relax. I hope McMillan and Narcisse succeed.

Had wildcat packages in place as a RS Freshman and still didn’t want to stay.

Maybe it was obvious he wasn't going to see the field.

I agree with this. Developing and rehabilitation is a process. I would have felt like he should have allowed the process to unfold gain some meaningful snap situations this year and the. Compete next year for more playing time.

It's getting to where there is so much Trolling going on that I can not distinguish the difference anymore. This site is an abortion of its former self. The ADMINS need to get this shite in check.

It's an interesting question. Did he put himself in the best position?
He was likely to play some this season at a national program. If Burrow got hurt, there was a good chance he would the option. He would have two full years to be the man.
So if he's a legit, SEC caliber QB with NFL aspirations, that's not a bad position to be in.
Of course, if he's not really that caliber and never will be, then it's clear that going somewhere else where it will be easier to get on the field is better.
So, to me, if he's a great QB, he made a huge mistake. If he's a mediocre QB, he made a good decision.
If he's a mediocre QB and he goes to Auburn or Florida, as rumored, he may never see the field. EVER. So we're back to making a bad decision.
Time will tell. But running away from competition is a bad look.
