O and staff know they have to win now.
Narcisse admits he’s not ready.

Huh?

So he's acknowledging that he isn't ready to play but yet moving on because they are starting somebody who is? I guess there is no pleasing Narcisse.

Can he come back to LSU after playing one year in JC?

O is feeling the heat.

Looks like he was worried he wasn't going to get the development he wanted

It really comes down to this: In a “I want it, and I want it now” generation, Narcisse didn’t want to wait his turn. I think he has the talent to be a really good QB but wants on the field right now.

Name a coach that wants a QB starting who isn’t ready to play

That's why you recruit two QBs every year. Ask Southern Cal, ask Georgia.

Narcisse wants to play now and wasn’t as ready as Burrow. It’s as simple as that. He did not want to have to wait.

Then why would he leave? He isn't getting on the field as the starter for at the very least a year, probably two.
It's pretty clear he's leaving to try to play right away.

It sucks but i get where the kid is coming from. O wanted to utilize him in wildcat situations. Meaning he was probably going to start Myles or Joe. Justin McMillan i dont think ever had a chance to start.
Narcisse wants to play QB period. Not be known as a wildcat guy. His words from the Advocate. Think he also wanted to start from the jump which is low key pretty diva of him. LSU doesn't real just start new guys fresh out the gate like that without some type of "LSU football game/situation" experience.
Sucks to see the kid go but i definitely get where he's coming from.

Agreed that was very strange comment for him to make. Who WOULDN'T want a QB that was ready.

every single coach in America wants a QB who's ready to play.
Posted on 8/15/18 at 1:47 pm to Covingtontiger77
The only way Narcisse's statement makes any sense is that he is admitting he is not "ready to play" and that he has no faith in the coaches at LSU that they can get him "ready to play."
That does not bode well for Brennan or any other freshman QB who comes here. I guess we need to just constantly be ready to scoop up all the UGA an OSU QB cast-offs as long as O is HC.

O is on a short leash. He has to have a battle-ready QB or he'll be on hot seat soon. He got no time to train or develop QB.

Of course they do.

I think the most relevant thing he said was that there were going to be packages for him in the red zone and he wanted to be a total QB, not just a rushing QB.
I get his point, but getting guaranteed playing time as a redshirt freshman QB after not playing the past two years is a pretty damn strong opportunity. If he’d taken that opportunity to get on the field and built up the coaches’ trust in him, I think he could’ve been the backup this season and would’ve given himself a strong chance to challenge for the starter position next year, as a redshirt sophomore.
Most QB’s would take you up on that offer at any school.
