What do you help them with financially? Tuition? Car note? Car insurance? Apartment?

good topic actually. how did some people afford to eat out everyday, drink, and live at Sterling Burbank?

How much did parents help out.

If you have the means cover most everything but their fun money to go out and eat. Let them have fun before they have the burden of bills and other responsibilities to worry about. Once they graduate they can handle all that stuff, let them have fun while they have the chance.

Still in college, my parents helped me out whenever I was in desperate need of money, but I'm paying for everything

I don't have kids in college, but I plan to do what my parents did with me and my brothers.

They helped us out big-time freshman year (paid for room/board, meal plan, etc.) while we adjusted to college life.

After freshman year they only helped with rent money. Anything beyond that (bills, food, spending money) I was on my own. Had some sort of job beginning summer after freshman year all the way through graduation.

Went to UGA so HOPE paid for tuition.

Pay for everything except drinking money. Even pay for their frat tuition because why would they not join a frat?

Tuition & Books
Rent & Utilities
Car & Insurance
Greek Bill

Clothes, Gas, Food & Fun occasionally.

That’s enough.

ETA: 1st year more spending money as I didn’t want them working. Summer after freshman year, they had to find a job and keep one part time.

My parents didn’t help me out at all. I worked full time in school and took night classes at LSU to make it work.

I’m saying this because I feel I truly missed out on the college experience busting my arse constantly. If you’re able to provide while teaching them responsibility financially do it.

Oh no I don't think there are too many girls that pay their own sorority dues. But I knew a couple guys that paid their own fraternity dues.

Tuition, room and board, car paid off already, insurance

She works during the summer and deposits into bank. We send her 30$ a week for spending money out of same account
