Met some south africans the other day at my church.
Some of the nicest white folks I've ever met. I thought they were Brits at first, then they told me and I was like "so y'all are ACTUALLY African-American?"
We all had a hearty guffaw.

Affikaaner is the coolest language/accent. Well, especially coming from a bunch of safari guides who tell cool wild animal stories.
