I'm not sure about that either. My assumption would be that the idea is coming from that article though.

Not that it even matters at this point. He's going to be the OC and I don't see how anyone can get a real idea of how successful he's going to be at this point. They're saying all of the right things, but unfortunately it's some of the same things we heard last offseason.

Thanks for the link, but I was talking about the permanent post as OC, not interim.

I wouldn't want to be interim anything, either, so I can't blame him for that.

Due to the fact that you don't know anything and due to the fact that you never watched him play as a quarterback.

That would have been a career killer. How many Miles OCs are in demand.

I most certainly did watch him play. I just don't remember because I was young. How does his quarterback play give anyone an idea of how successful he's going to be this year?

My only hope is that the offense didn't look terrible under O/Ensminger as interims. Yes, it struggled with Bama and UF, but those games are rarely blow outs either way.

I remember being impressed with what Ensminger did to clean up Cameron's mess in such a short time. Maybe as permanent OC we'll all be impressed?

That's no secret. He needed someone in-house to take the job since nobody else was available after what's his name was diagnosed with Parkinson's. That's how Stud ended up calling the plays that year.

This.

I was born in '75, so I was there, but definitely don't remember.

That is the thing that frightens me the most. If Orgeron just turn his head set off and let’s the coaches coach, he could be successful.

At home games I can't pay attention to it, but when watching away games on TV...every time they show Orgeron he doesn't appear to have the headset on. Seems like he is just watching the game instead of discussing upcoming situations, personnel adjustments, time management, etc...

I don't think his meddling is happening during the game. I think last year it was mainly in the week of preparation.

Is that really something to brag about considering the OC track record under miles?

Man, I'm ready! Whether we go 12-0 or 6-6, this one month buildup to kickoff is so exciting every year!

Because he has a want. Just like all you have to do to be a successful head coach is motivate players. Things like taking your shirt off and challenging them to a fight and smashing cans of Red Bull over your head and banging a drum are all you have to do. Likewise, if you were a thinking man's QB when in college, you will naturally be successful as an OC.

So explain it to me then. Cite some substantive items. I'm willing to listen.

and you know that how ????

ALL Head Coaches WILL have say so into the Defense, Offense and other matters of the team. Anyone who does not think so is a complete idiot.

Bingo! Steve made a wise career decision, as did Jimbo. CLM was,the only common denominator during the era of offensive offense.

Umm, our offenses were better under Les than Saban, minus 01.

And if Steve had taken the job in 2011. Most of the people praising O, would have shite all over Les for making that move. They shite all over the stud move, who had been an OC and Head coach more recently. shite, stud was more qualified to be the head coach than Ed.
