Exactly, if O underwhelms then he will seal his own fate and if he goes 10-2 or better this year then he'll most likely secure himself to the end of his contract. Only time will tell, we can speculate all we want, but until the pads go on and lights turn on we won't truly know.

O did this to himself by losing to Troy and MSU the way he did.
However, he DID hold the team together. I thought for sure we were going to lost 5-6 games last year. He SHOULD get credit for that and he is dealing with the "perception" of those losses.
Now, MSU DID get worse and LSU improved. LSU was down many on the Oline and Dline early in the year and I do think LSU beats Troy and MSU later in the season, but it is what it is.
We should be deep on D this year. No excuses.
Miami will set the tone. It is 100% on O to win that game and change everyone mind. Until he does that, LSU will be picked near the bottom.
And no, MSU does not have more talent than us. that is laughable.

So he should get credit for doing what ALL head coaches do after their team loses a game they shouldn’t? Yeah, okay.
Also, wtf the the “perception” of the Troy and MSU losses. Both were bad. There is no way around excusing or explaining them...

Contrary to poplar opinion, there was "some" good to be found. There is plenty of bad that has been discussed, but its not "all" bad.
Hell, the man was a FG away from 10 wins and 2 FG away from 11..
