What is the differance between Tiger Fans that pick LSU to go 11-1 vs 6-6?

NOTHING

They are the same fans that don't see things pre-season the same way.

I have changed my view of many of you that don't see the program going in the right direction based on what you see. We can't tell each other how to come up with opinions. This varied view is what makes the world go round and at the end of the season some folk will be right about what happens. The group with the wrong view in pre-season like the talking heads just will not bring it up.

Chill a little dudes and just let the opinions flow. If you think we are going around 7-5 to 6-6 you are part of a large group of talking heads that see it going that way.

If we go 12-0 to 9-3 you will be way off and that is the way it rolls.

I would enjoy the site more if we had less pos/neg Tiger batter but like all other things I don't like I just learn to deal with it.

Bottom-line / any Tiger fan that thinks the program is going in the tank - fine - that's your view.

Just saying - IF we win the first 3 games -IF- We are going 12-0!

that is my view

My only issue with people in the 6-6 crowd is if their reasoning is simply "Troy" or some ridiculous personal insult. At least have an opinion other than just spouting out that you don't like the man.

Probably the most accurate post you've made here.

Exactly. This is really all they got and they're trying to project that loss onto the outcome of this season somehow.

It's a little disingenuous to act like simply saying Troy doesn't carry any wight. That game was a spectacular failure the likes of which we'd not seen at LSU in this century. 0 was responsible for that shitshow, and since it happened less than a year ago, it's a valid concern.

This is definitely not the only reason.

I don't think there's much of that.

I think most lock in 3 losses (Bama, UGA, Auburn)

Go 3-2 on 50/50 games and we're already at 5 losses, 6 if we go 2-3. We don't have to have any letdown on the level of Troy to get to 6 losses.

I don't think it's difficult to find 6 losses on the schedule without predicting a loss to a vastly inferior team like Troy. It's not unreasonable to think we could lose to Miami, Auburn, UGA, Bama, A&M, and Florida. I don't think we lose 6 games, but I also don't think it's outlandish to think that it's possible.

Oh stop. We have O's resume and entire coaching career. Sure, Troy is representative of that, but let's be honest, we have a lot more substantive information to point to in order to support our position than those of you with your heads buried in the sand.

What in the absolute hell do you have to point to in order to support going 10-2, 11-1, etc.? Oh, O has brought on some good players? Yeah, thank God Bama, Georgia and Auburn don't have good players. We're revamping our offense? How the hell do we know what is going on? Some crappy articles that Ree posted? I love E, but what in the hell makes you think that he's got the OC thing down now?

I don't disagree one bit with that statement. But, what happened in the Troy game that the person believes caused the loss? Were there other instances throughout the season that were similar? If people want to discredit him that much, simply saying "Troy" doesn't cut it for me. This is coming from someone that people accuse of being one of the biggest haters on the board.

The transitive property isn't necessarily at work here ya know.

You said it much better than I did, but this was really my point.

You just answered your own question. You're getting worked up into a pretty good lather and the season hasn't even started yet. I prefer to wait.

I'm not privy to the inner working of the program, so I can't tell you. All I know is that the guy who was responsible for it is still here, so it's a concern. It's not some loss that happened while 0 was at Ole Miss.

Yea, State bent us over a barrel and we lost the bowl game in embarrassing fashion. The Auburn game (well, just the second half since we were dogshit in the first half) doesn't make up for all that.

Well, that one word sums up all of the major concerns about what could happen with 0 running the program, so I think it is valid.

It has nothing to do with liking or disliking O.

He is a proven failure as a head coach. Literally the worse coach in Ole Miss history, and their history is not very good to start with.

The only O has shown the ability to do is prevent a team from completely falling apart after a mid season coaching change. And anyone with a working brain understands that being interim HC is not in the same ballpark as being the actual permanent HC.

You're implying it will happen again.
