How are inspection stickers enforced besides checkpoints?

If you never get pulled over and avoid those checkpoints, could you go without an inspection sticker? It seems like something that could fly under the radar.

By driving in walker. The bmw bike cops will pull a uturn in traffic and weave in and out of traffic to catch up to you.

I constantly see cars on the road with stickers that expired in 2015 and 2016. It has me wondering, do they even care?? Don’t they have bigger things to worry about?

So they will see you driving by abiding the law and pull you over because your sticker looks like it’s expired? How can they even see it?

I’m thinking the same thing. By the time it’s due to get a new one, ill be gone anyways.
If your vehicle is still registered in LA and you live in another state, you don’t need one right? Cops in other states can’t write a ticket for not having a LA inspection sticker. Correct?

I knew a guy years ago that would just put a different color pack of cigarettes on his dash every month. Dude went like 10 years without a sticker.

Yeah I plan on keeping my truck registered in LA. I just don’t think I’d have to keep getting inspection stickers if I don’t live there. You can keep a vehicle registered in LA as long as you have an address to use there right?

A few years ago I pulled out of my work parking lot and was immediately pulled over by a state trooper for an expired sticker by 2 months.
