Geniunely interested in that claim by Ruston. What are the main industries?
I know Davison is heavily into trucking and timber, but he’s only 1 person

With that said, I'd still love to get out of the belt and go to CUSA.
Why though? Is the CUSA even better than the Belt anymore? I think the Sun Belt schools have better fanbases now too.

And what's your point?
Neither could any of the teams that left the sunbelt for CUSA a few years ago.

Interesting that you did not dispute any anything that I posted.
Your money is so 'tied up' that you can't pay off a $2 million video board after TEN YEARS?
Your money is so 'tied up' that you can't pay off your recent EZ/PB projects?
And I guess that also explains why ltu is the only D1 that can't afford a 10th coach?
Nice try.

I'm gonna laugh when broke-arse Tech whips your asses with just 9 coaches.

Video board hasn’t been there ten years. Fundraising on it really didn’t get going until the year before it was installed.

No, a school in a town of 20,000 didn’t pay off an 11 million dollar press box immediately, a year after completing a 25 million dollar athletic facility. Where exactly did it say we would?

It has nothing to do with afford. Tech will have one in the next year but that money was redirected within the program.
I’m not arguing with you because I have no envy towards Lafayette. Unlike you I’m really happy with where my program currently sits.
Honestly the fact that you know so much about our financial situation, coupled with your hatred for Louisiana Tech is really, really embarrassing.
It’s one thing to let a rival get into your head during a season but you have let Louisiana Tech set up a permanent residence in your head.
I would love to rip Lafayette up and down for their financials but I can’t because I have no idea what they are because I don’t fricking care.

Never forget that Mark Hudspeth invited every Louisiana Tech recruit to Lafayette for the ULL-Tech game a few years ago and told them they would “see real separation between Louisiana and Louisiana Tech”
LA Tech proceeded to beat them into the fricking ground.
Oh and then we turned around and did it again the next season in Ruston

LA Tech is the clear second in the state. Everyone around the southeast knows that. They have a decent history when it comes to winning. They have a good brand. They have a coach that people recognize.
I definitely don’t mind Tech. I wouldn’t mind if LSU played them every 2 years in rotation. They don’t hurt our strength of schedule like the other in state schools do.
Nobody from the outside looks at an SEC schedule and sees LA Tech as a very easy push over like they do with ULL ULM and Southeastern. They see Tech and think ok it’ll be close first half then we pull away to win by 14 or so.
To be fair, Troy is now in this same group with Tech. I doubt anybody will take them lightly after they came in and whipped our arse in TS.

LaCajunsFan is overly obsessed with La Tech's "faults". It's always fun to laugh at his "factual points" that he compiles from message boards. Now he's obessed with a 10th coach at Tech when ULL's 1st coach couldn't get it done for years!

I get it, fans of tech and the Cajuns are very proud of their schools and what they have. But what about on the field? A few years ago, ULL had their best football team ever. Tech visited them and absolutely skull drug them. Skip Holtz went in dry.

Yeah, I am obseesed with ltu....which is why idiots like this turd are making ridicoulous claims on a thread about UL.
And you know he is an idiot and a turd by his name: like ruston has anything to do with the French culture of S. Louisiana. This guy is so obseesed with us he has to try to steal our slogans.....and he does it very badly.
Bottom line is that say what you want, or try to deny it all you want, but the facts remain that LTU's revenues have been decreasing, despite any success they may have, which is causing much strain in getting their recent projects paid off. No one said anything about paying them off in a year, but making yearly payments on them is a very real issue.

oktigger! Where have youve been?
You were the one on that other thread who was ADAMANT that the city of LFT owns the Cajun Dome, and was smacked down proven wrong about that.
You also were ADAMANT that it was not true that UL attendnace at the Tigue has been in the top 10 nationally for a while...only to be smacked down wrong on that too.
Glad to see you are back....so maybe now you can admit and own up to how wrong you were.

Wanna meet up at sonic and fight because our team of 18-22 year olds don’t like each other?

Going to clear up a few points in this thread:
The amount of wealth in NCLA is staggering for such a rural area that is not highly populated. Not saying all that goes to LaTech but the wealth is there.
LaTech Athletics gets an insane amount of off the books assistance - private jets, 1st class golf facility, unreal meal plans, 1st class medical care. The small details provided for their student athletes is amazing for a G5 school.
For debt - why in the hell would LSU, LaTech or any other school prepay such low interest debt? TAF or LTAC would be woukd be stupid right now to do that.
The video board was paid for in by the school’s foundation - the loan is a foundation tonatheltic department loan.
Drive through the LaTech campus - the amount of construction is staggering - espescially in the east side of the campus.
