I love the Saints and Pels equally but I honestly enjoy going to Pels games more. Less bullshite with parking, less people to deal with, and it’s a faster game.

As someone who doesn’t drink anymore (it’s a one way ticket to a full on migraine as I’ve aged...not worth it), it’s Pels by a landslide. Saints games were a blast when I could burn a couple hours pre gaming and maybe go somewhere after. They happen so infrequently that you can make a day of it. Sober SP is taking the Pels all day. Everything is so damn convenient.

To OP:

I’m not sure the Pels are a top 5 team. If Davis is healthy the entire season, I think they can be. I think Randle will have a great year here. He is a nice insurance policy for any minor dings. I said this in the other thread. Jrue Holiday is our biggest X factor going into the season. I referred to him needing to be that true 2nd banana to AD. If he can be that guy, I also think Evil Jrue can carry the ship if AD misses a few games. If healthy, which seems impossible on this team, I think we’re behind BOS, GSW, HOU, TOR, UTA, OKC. I do think we could take all but two of these in a 7 game series. Not saying we WOULD, but I think we could pull the upset.

Houston/Pels could be a really fun series. We need to avoid GSW until the WCF. Ariza was by far their best defender on Davis. I don’t see a replacement on that roster. That’s our only chance of making it further this year than we did last year. We just can’t faceplant this year. We have to dig deep and show we’re growing and on the cusp. These crap contracts are going to start coming off the books, and we’ll have options. New Demps/Ferry combo has me optimistic if we can ink Davis one more time.

for years I had season tix to both

my pels tix are about the same price as saints for better seats, 40 games instead of 8, easier to get in and out, 2.5 hrs instead of 4, more fun and much better in game experience. The NBA is the far superior live event

As far as game day experience goes, the NBA just puts on a better product

100%. The NBA product, at least here, is a superior product. I love football, but pelicans games are far more entertaining for me.
