We aren’t getting picked 5th because of the lack of talent (mostly).

A lot of that prediction was because of who our coach is, and the fact that we have yet another OC with and unproven offense and a potential transfer QB as our starter who has never played against a first-string defense or an SEC defense...

That’s why.

LSU is picked 5th for two reasons and two reasons only. How good will QB play and how strong will the Oline be? Since those questions can’t be answered in the pre season......you get picked to finish 5th

Do you think Alabama is going to pick Auburn as the most physical?

Not really, winning takes care of the lack of respect. In 2003 we started at 19 I think, as i commented to someone in a discussion, it's not where you start but where you finish.

4 OC changes over the course of 2 seasons, a never ending QB problem, a brutal schedule with last years Champ and the runner up on there, several other new coaching faces mostly on offensive side of the ball, and for the first time in a while no known horse in the backfield, QB no matter which one will be a first time starter, still tweaking the OL with a new OL coach, lack of experience at QB, WRs, and RBs.

Yeah, we got dudes. Some fricking studly ones if you ask me. Can we put it all together and get them working in the same direction at the same time? Can we make up for a lack of experience with good coaching? Can we overcome the newness with attention to detail and efficient practices?

But we have question marks on the offensive side of the ball that are... well... staring the initiated and uninitiated right in the face.

These media types are like Wall St.- unknowns are worse than negatives. But that's the thing about questions- they can be answered.

There's the disconnect. Fans typically see every question mark turning out to be the best possible version of what that player can be, and when we now have an offense full of studs, how can we possibly lose? How can there be doubt? Are those media types blind?????!!!

Media types, disinterested observers, are seeing them for what they are, unknowns. Why would they assume anything about these players yet? I've been listening to LSU previews all day and everyone has similar predictions, 8-4 to 6-6, but all acknowledge this team has the ability to beat everyone, but too many question marks and too tough of a schedule without any breaks. I don't think they all hate LSU, just think they're calling it pretty fairly.

I think you ignore the jury is in deliberation on HC and OC.

Until LSU get serious about winning championships, this will be our plight
FKA (LSU President) and JA ( LSU Athletic Director) have both displayed enough preponderance of evidence that they're certainly not serious at all about WINNING Championships.

They got the "Competing" for them thing down pretty well though.

Both have to be shown the exit before much changes.
