The question I'd have about Biden is how would he do in the Rust Belt? If the Dems want to retake the WH, they'll have to at least get 2 of the 3 Trump won.

Ha, the left has no one that could stump the Trump in 2020.
Anyone brave enough to try it will be committing political suicide when they lose.
I think they run someone that doesn't mind taking the chance on losing it all, and with Biden it's no loss considering his age.

You underestimate the hypocrisy of Dems. They'll preach diversity down your throat but they know that the only way to beat Trump is get back some of the Obama voters and moderates that voted for Trump, Biden is the only name mentioned so far that could possibly do that. They've got the sky screamer vote no matter what, but they need more than that to win.

The civil war between establishment Dems (Biden / Hillary) and liberal Dems (Warren / Sanders) might be pretty tasty.
The one caveat or "out" they have could be Kamala Harris, who is both liberal and relatively unknown and therefore able to be a chameleon / corporatist like Obama while maintaining her liberal bona fides.
