Well, what does that mean? Can he win tomorrow? Yes, if he plays like today. Is he poised to contend in major tournaments for the next five years? I don't know.

Ask us after the next round.

Expecting wind gusts to 35.
He needs to pass a lot of guys.
Some fall apart in the wind.
But he shoots 5 better than any in front of him.
It could happen.

He's 4 back of 3 guys, one of whom is 24 and has won 3 majors already.

He's tied with other guys who have a major.

And two other guys are ahead of him.

Imho Its 15 to 1 against.

No. He will shoot 65 tomorrow and lose by 6 shots. Not even close.

If Tiger plays as well as he has this year for the next 5 years, I would expect him to win another major.

He will never be back to the form we all remember. His body has been destroyed and reassembled and the field (that he revolutionized) is twice as strong, at least, as it was in his prime.

Age is an issue, and that only gets worse

He’s as back as a 42 year old with a bazillion surgeries can be.

He’ll never be the Tiger of 97-08 but he’s good enough to be the best in the world again for a stretch of a couple years.

I’m thankful I get to watch him really compete again

I guess it would depend on how one defines "back".

IMHO back for Tiger would mean he was the undisputed best player in the world. In that context he's not even close.

If by "back" one means he is competitive at the highest level....then maybe I can give you that.

If he stopped trying to outdrive young guys like Koepka and kept more balls in the short grass, he'd be a force to deal with.
