God forbid a player fumble or throw an int or miss a kick or a tackle and they not be accountable for their own mistake that has a direct fricking impact on the game.
But a football game has over 100 plays. So the overall outcome of a game shouldn't be blamed on an isolated blunder by a player here or there. It's ALL on the coaches. It's THEIR responsibility to game plan, motivate, adjust in-game. They're paid huge money - and it's on them.
Just like a CEO is held accountable for a company's performance, and a teacher is responsible for their students' test score, etc. The leader of ANY organization is held responsible for final results.
