The Quickening should be on rising list too. Percy J jams as well.

Grayson Capps is a nola band?

Anders is one of my favorites but the constant touring with NMAS and JJGrey/Dickinson/Broussard didn't help him any after he had huge momentum a few years back imo. And getting rid of McFadden/Blade and the gang was a bad call although that may not have been his.

how is trombone shorty rising? Good player. Band is just decent. Songs are pretty meh outside a few.

Guess he shouldnt be considered New Orleans. Hes from AL, transplanted to New Orleans and transplanted out to Nashville.

Anders Osborne Band was on fire for a few years, but things got a little stale. It even showed in last year's holiday spectacular. He needs to firm up the sound of his new band and actually do some touring. Seems like all he has on the books are oddball duo shows, openings, sit-ins, etc.

Nope. I believe he is a full-time member of North Mississippi All Stars now.

Tank and the Bangas have the GOAT tiny desk episode. Their recorded stuff just doesn’t work as well. They are ridiculous live

Happened a few months ago. I just saw NMAS in Oregon last month. Love the fact they've got a steady bass again, but not sure why he left Anders. Maybe more money, who knows. I'm sure Anders gave it his blessing.

I don't think either Anders or Carl has specifically stated why he left. It would not surprise me if Carl got tired of the irregular work. He was basically the only steady member of Anders' band and Anders was increasingly doing a bunch of random stuff that didn't involve Carl.
