I think it was much easier for him to leave FSU after a losing season than the season we pursued him.

Well we had him for a lot less after 2015 and Miles was carried off the field, but Alleva and F King decided it would look bad.

ETA
F King and Jindal, not JBE

Agreed. I would have been fine with $7mil per, but not 10 years guaranteed.

JF is a good coach that will probably do well at A&M, but 10 years is a big risk that could tie A&M’s hands down the road.

Lol, these people always make me laugh. Like it was your money or something. LSU could make up the 75 million for his contract, with extra profits with one championship team.

That's the price these days for a valuable coach on the free market. Don't be cheap and expect title contending results.

Why? Are you personally paying the coach's salary? I'd rather LSU take a chance spending money on a winner, especially since they're wasting money anyway.

LSU was never going to offer JIMBO the buyout he wanted in 2016. Florida State renegotiated his contract after the season with over 30 million buyout and a raise to keep Jimbo at Florida State. After the 2017 season the Aggies gave him over 70 million buyout. 7 million a year and a 70 million dollar buyout for this coach is not a good deal.

Saban is worth this and more but not Jimbo.

Jimbo is a good coach and won a national title on the arm of a great QB similar to Auburn with Cam. He did not build a power house team compared to Saban at BAMA or even Clemson with Dabo.
