At my parents for the long weekend and since they live about a mile from the trailhead to LA’s longest trail system (Wild Azalea), I decided to hit up my old trails.
Just like old times, I got my Mom to drop me off at a road crossing and I ran back home. This was my go-to section to run back in the day. Total is about 7.6 miles if you include the bit of road running back to my parents house.
Very much enjoyed getting back on the trails this morning. I certainly wasn’t fast, but that wasn’t what I cared about this morning.
Also the perks of running at my parents house; an after run dip in the pool and a stack of pancakes and coffee waiting for me.
It’s good to be home.

I ran a random set of trails in Rockwall this week it was muddy and winding. Never went in a straight line longer than 100m. Averaged over 12:00 pace but it was a ton of fun. I felt like it was a good effort but there was no way I was going to set any records.

Which trail section did you run? I just recently started running out there and did about 7 miles on the Lakeshore trail today. I really enjoy the change of scenery and elevation.
