How many titles would we have had if both Manning brothers had stayed home.

Was talking to my step uncle over the holiday and we got into a debate about how many titles the Tigers would have had if the Mannings had been Bengals instead of going out of state. My guess was 2 for Peyton and 1 for Eli. He was saying 0 for Payton because the team was weaker in the 90's and 2 for Eli because of the strength of the team. Thoughts???

Probaby none for peyton as Florida would still drag their nuts on us in the 90's. eli could have gotten one

Considering Tenn was better than LSU in the 90's and Peyton still had 0 I would go with 0. MAYBE LSU wins the west once but they don't beat Florida in Atlanta.

Booty was actually the higher rated prospect but he went baseball and the talent level at LSU at that time was nowhere near what Tenn and Fla had.

Eli was not as heralded coming out as Peyton was, Saban did not even really recruit him. Not sure if that was because it was a foregone conclusion he wasn't interested in LSU. Even Ole Miss at the time was recruiting more athletic dual threat QB's under Tuberville before Cutcliffe came in.

I think Cutcliffe gets the lion share of developing both Mannings and looking at what he's done at Duke kind of tells me Cutcliffe had a lot to do with developing both of them.

1997 team could have won the SEC with Peyton Manning.
2003 team would have been better with Eli.

How many NCAA championships do those two mouth-breathers have?

That's how many they would have added at LSU

Peyton might've been able to get one, most of those years Dinardo had pretty good teams. We would've had Peyton and Faulk at the same time. 1997 would've been the best bet but we had pretty bad receivers at that time: Abram "run out of bounds" Booty was the 2nd leading receiver. No way they beat '96 Florida, '95 was Dinardo's first year, and '94 we had Curley fricking Hallman as our coach.

For Eli, 2000 who knows if he beats out the other QBs as a freshman but either way no way we win one that year. 2001 he wasn't any better than senior year Rohan so I'm still saying no. 2002 I guess there's a chance since we really tanked after Mauck got hurt but that Miami team was ridiculous and got robbed. 2003 we already got one so maybe he gets 1 that year, but if we did win in '02 it's doubtful he stays for '03.

First of all, the Manning’s HATE LSU, secondly, “home” to them means nothing. Those two don’t live in Louisiana and never will.
One more thing, frick the Mannings.
