Sounds like Ox will be ready for his debut shortly after the international break as well

Ox went 40 minutes with U-23’s
Honestly not a whole lot in it. Looked like he was just getting his feet wet trying to get some game shape back.
Wasn’t super highly energetic, which I’m not surprised about. Also looked a little tough for him to get involved, but he looked reasonably sharp on the ball when he did get it and also occasionally with some closing down.
Imagine it will take him some time to really get back into the swing of things and true game shape and form, but nice to see him back

Yeah, just seeing him out there is definitely encouraging... Hope he rounds back in to shape quickly

Honestly wouldn't be opposed to just shutting Ox down.
It's unlikely he'll be able to actually contribute at a high level. He needs another summer and pre-season I would say.

Keep him with the U-23’s and just let him find his game shape and his form back

IMO, I'd use the rest of this season to play him back into football shape so he is ready to go for preseason.. I personally dont expect him to contribute much this season and I hope we dont push him...
If he does, that would be a huge bonus...

He hurt his hamstring. Just saw this on Sky Sports News.

I read he felt something with his hamstring and it was precautionary..

Not terribly surprising in his first actual time back and for a guy with a history of that, nothing wrong with being safe

Substitutes: Mignolet, Lovren, Henderson, Keita, Shaqiri, Origi, Sturridge.

Thought this was the perfect game to bring Shaq back in for the 4-2-3-1

Milly with a knock? Not even selected?

How come PL refs are “anything goes” for Burnley when they play Liverpool?

stupid corner to concede by Matip...
