Melting over this is pretty legit, though Gorsuch wasn’t a terrible choice, so I’ll wait and see what happens before I personally freak out and say we’re fricked. I mean, Trump is our President, so we’ve been fricked for a while anyway. America should be used to it by now.

Agreed.
If I was Trump I would come out and say that it was too much for one president in one term to appoint three judges and that he would respectfully decline to appoint the third in the name of democracy and bi-partisanship.
I think the pull from the #WalkAway voters would outweigh the #OMGWECANTLETHIMWIN sky screamers.

Replace wishywashy swing vote Kennedy with a conservative and the court takes a decisive step to the right.
At that point, Roberts becomes the swing vote and even he isn’t swinging too far left these days.
Next step? Let Thomas retire or see Notorious RBG shuffle off this mortal coil.

I seem to remember seeing a leak or at least a well researched accusation that the top moderator slot, or several of the high moderator slots of r/politics were sold to a prominent leftist/prog organization a while back. I'll see if I can't find it.
