Woman (Slidell)'trashed' Chinese restaurant, yelled racial slurs: police

A woman miffed over her food is accused of trashing a Slidell Chinese restaurant and hurling "racial slurs'' at the staff, Slidell police said.
The woman, identified as Jasmine Thompson, 20, was booked into the Slidell City Jail on Thursday on charges of criminal damage, disturbing the peace, hit and run, and having no insurance, police said in a news release Monday (June 25).Thompson is accused of throwing utensils and sauces at China King on Pontchartrain Drive because she the food "was not made properly,'' police said. Police were called to the restaurant around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in reference to a disturbance.
Police said she also yelled racial slurs at restaurant staffers.
As Thompson was leaving the restaurant, she hit the owner's vehicle in the parking lot with her own, but kept driving, police said

I got the link from facebook when I read the story earlier..I laughed when one of the first comments was "white kids doing school shootings."

My local lunch time Chinese place has a very prominently placed "no hoodies allowed" sign on the outside of the door. I don't know how relevant that is to this story but I just thought I'd share.

If you agree to run a business in Slidell I feel like you need to expect this and not call the police every time it happens. Most businesses there just account for this in their pricing and build up some good will with the community.
