95%+ of their customers DGAF. They're meemaw and papaw getting their medications filled.
The only people that will care are the metoo'ers.

Not all of us live in a podunk Alabama town. Urban Walgreens stores are nothing like this and that’s where the majority of them are.

That was a pitiful attempt at an insult.

She is on CNN now.
She said the pharmacist told her he wouldn't fill it that she could return the next day and the pharmacist on that day would fill it. She also said the pharmacist offered to her right then to send the prescription to another location that would fill it.
So sounds like he did follow policy.
And he asked her if she was pregnant..and when she said yes...that is when he refused.

People in here seem to think the pharmacist is capable of performing an ultrasound to verify the woman's story. This situation is clearly sad and tragic for her, but he has no way of know if she's telling the truth or not. This is such a non story.
You don't think a doctor prescribed it to her?

So like I said a total non-story. Christ people are dumb.

Stick to the SECR, please

It wasn’t an insult. I used to call on Walgreens in small country towns where that’s their clientele. Those towns had 1 Walgreens per town though. Most are in big cities. There’s one on almost every corner here in Dallas. The clientele at those are not meemaw and papaw.

You think the drug only has 1 valid indication for this specific use only?
Posted on 6/25/18 at 8:56 am to EarlyCuyler3
Yeah after seeing her on CNN she just looks like a hysterical woman that is upset she didn't get her way.
She says the pharmacist could have handled her differently.
How? He offered to send it to another location...per policy. I think she seems to feel that someone at that location should have still filled it right then and there.

Maybe so, but the woman doesnt strike me as a metooer... I mean having a miscarriage is not a political or moral statement- which is why I am still a little confused why this pharmacist had a problem.

Fair enough. Even in those places, I'd bet that the same percentage doesn't give a shite. People just want their rx filled quick and painlessly.

Yup. And her going on CNN and admitting he followed policy should end this in Walgreens eyes.

It was misoprostol...and I can tell you from personal experience that is used for several things.
I recently had to take this medication as prep for a medical procedure. When I picked this medication up (from Walgreens) I had to speak to the pharmacist. First thing he asked me was "Are you pregnant?"

to be fair, I would have been pissed if the same thing happened to me or my wife
I doubt I would have went on CNN, but I would have probably been hysterical
We just went through this, it is an emotional time, people are allowed to be hysterical at times

Because he doesn't know this is the case. He has zero access to her records from her MD.

Is this your way of admitting you were wrong now that the woman admitted policy was followed?

Yet he feels he knows enough to deny her medication?
