Portable/Waterproof Radio rec. needed

Will be used on boat rides, beach trips etc. Bluetooth is an obvious must.
Price range $100-200..
Need something that can be heard over running the outboard, handle getting accidentally splashed, and sounds halfway decent. With that price range I should be able to find something decent. Internet reviews are all over the place, what says the OB?

I was looking a few months ago and it seemed like the UE Boom is the best match.

Will give it a look, seems small but that isn't an issue. Just curious how loud it will actually be. How rugged..

Check out the Brookstone Big Blue Party speaker. Got one as a gift and it’s really pretty damn nice, loud and waterproof.
Reviews are great but 4.5 hour battery life is a no go for my usage.

Braven if you want a bluetooth speaker.

Ecoxgear Ecostone or EcoCarbon. Surprisingly loud, excellent battery life, IP68, and floats.
I love mine. I kayak fish with mine and have dunked it several times. It floats which is awesome. I have EcoCarbon but I believe EcoStone is a little more powerful.

I have a JBL Flip and a Bose Soundlink both can be heard over the engine and last about 6 hours each. Sound quality and both are about the same. I prefer the JBL because it sits in a cup holder, the Bose is a little more bulky, but it is slightly louder.

JBL Charge 3. Battery lasts forever, can charge your phone, and it is pretty loud.

What's your size limit? If you want it packable, I don't know. If you want a Bluetooth, roll around, beer holder/opener, light show, microphone, all-in-one mobile concert and chick magnet, that you definitely can hear while running a boat, go to Sam's and get an Ion Explorer Outback. Charge up and get 100 hrs of battery life.

I bought a JBL Flip 4 a couple weeks ago. I love it so far... Plenty loud, waterproof, and excellent battery.

Altec Lansing life jacket
I got this one for $150 and was very suprised with how great it sounds. It gets pretty loud and has plenty of base. It bluetooths to you phone and can be a good ways away. Also lasts pretty long on one charge and has a USB port that you can charge your phone with. Not to mention probably the greatest feature of them all it’s waterproof and supposedly can be set in the water and will float while using it which I haven’t tried yet.

Last a very long time on one charge, extremely loud, waterproof and you can charge your phone on it to name a few.

It sounds like you only need waterproof speakers. You can use your phone or ipod with it.

Buddy of mine has one and this is what i will be getting. It last 3 trips to the camp and has plenty of volume even when boiling crabs or shrimp.
I also have about 6 other bluetooth speakers and my PA speaker set up and will still be purchasing this if thats any indication. Explorer outback

I recently bought an iHome waterproof and sandproof Bluetooth speaker and it works great. Used it in the ocean for several days. Only $40 too. But it wouldn’t be loud enough to hear over a motor
