I don't know how I missed this when the story came out in April..

My favorite Stephen King book is finally being made. Please, let them do it right.

My favorite King book is a softball. Really enjoyed 11.22.63 but hate the Hulu addaptation.

Great story.
I wish there was a studio out there with the balls and the ability to make a faithful-to-the-book adaptation of Rage, but that will never happen in today's climate.

I’m wondering how they pull this one off.
All of his Bachman books were exceptionally dark but this one is in a class of its own, especially with regards to the gorn in some of the deaths.
I guess it was a matter of time, though, since they have mined pretty much every other King property to use as a movie or miniseries.
The only two which come to mind as our of bounds are The Breathing Method and Rage.
Rage has been pulled from print in wake of the rash of school shootings since the 90s.
Breathing Method is just... odd. If it gets adapted I would think it has to be done anthology style like Cat’s Eye did with Quitters Inc and The Ledge.

You get your movie,yes.
But someone remember's The Running Man's adaption and we're treated to Garraty and Company being chased by street hockey warriors.

LOVED the Long Walk.
So straightforward it would be a very simple movie to make. I hope they stick right with the book.

Although I'm a fan of a lot of his books, I don't generally pay much attention when movie adaptions are announced. I'm excited about this one. I probably read it five times as a teenager.

Is he the richest author of all-time?
Or is it Louis L'amour?
I mean once you get a name for yourself...the books sell themselves and then become movies. Everything that has his name on it becomes a movie or TV adaption.
He might hate the Shining movie but that was the best thing to ever happen to him. Having a famed director make a classic film about his book (even though it's very loosely based on the book) but it drove people to buy the book.
My favorite King book though isn't any of those best-sellers...it's his semi-autobiography about writing.

He loved the movies and those old serial magazines about mystery and horror.
ETA: Nevermind, it's Rowling.
She's worth 1 billion? For writing about wizards? Man did she hit the lottery by being in this day and age.

Maybe my favorite king book or definitely top 3. Read it several times in college and loved it. Not really sure if I want to watch a movie about it though.
