Direct tv now question

hello, can anyone tell me if direct tv now offers the local channels live. Thinking of going with them but i want to make sure im good when football season starts back

depends on where you're at, but I have ABC and NBC I think (I'm in Birmingham). I have to use Fox Sports GO for local fox (when I don't have an antenna available) and CBS is one I've only had luck with on the antenna.

In Lafayette I get Fox only local

In Prairieville I get CBS only. I still just use my antenna for locals so I don't eat up data and the pic is better and more reliable.

They carry all of the NOLA locals except ABC. Luckily I can still get that with an antenna.

Be forewarned. I’m supposed to get abc and nbc in mobile bust ever since the last update they have been gone. Luckily I get them with an antenna so I just keep biching at them in the chat to get a cheaper bill.

I don't get shite for locals in the LP on directv now. PS Vue offers only WAFB. I'm on free trials of both right now.

I am on Direct and get all the locals live as you would with Cox or anyone else. I am in Baton Rouge. If you are in Denham you should be able to as well. Local channels are beamed to areas in what they call a "spot beams" that cover local areas. The broad circle of the beam covers a huge ara. I am sure you would get BR locals.
Make sure they give you NFL Sunday Ticket because they are giving it for free for first year to new accounts.

The OP is asking about Direct TV Now the streaming service not Direct TV satellite service. The local channels provided are different for each service per area.

Totally depends on where you are. Austin we have CBS, ABC, Fox. No NBC (I think). There probably is a "checker" on their website

With my ATT bundle DirecTV Now is only a $10 add on and even includes HBO.
My biggest complaint is that it logs itself out of apps every few weeks. I suspect this is to deter people from logging in at a friend’s house and giving them permanent free access.
It’s really annoying because my young kids are not always patient when I have to set it all up again.

I haven't had this problem in a long time. Have you updated your app?
Also, I resolved my audio issue on my firestick last night. If anyone is having that problem you just have to change the audio setting on your firestick to dolby pro off.
