As it pertains to the thread, this is an objectively shitty thing to do. Pruitt certainly knows better. Nobody is going to gun for Trump’s job over this, but Pruitt needs to be called out for it. Nobody should want our public servants using their position to enrich themselves.

I don't disagree at all. It's pretty slimy. But trying to arrange for a franchise with an unrelated business to your regulatory oversight isn't all that awful, in the relative scheme of graft and impropriety, if you ask me.
