There is nothing blue in color about this dog. We named him after the "Andy Griffith Show" one time dog character, Blue, even though our dog doesn't resemble in looks to the show's dog. Just liked the name and he seems mutt like enough to be like a character on the show.

The Yorkie is Sammy and my wife's maiden name is Davis. So he was Sammy Davis.

My boxer started out as Cammie, but that sounded too much like Sammy so she got changed to Maggie for magazine after a day or so. Im a little bit of a gun guy.

Got my wife a beagle for her birthday. She probably figured she would be getting some jewelry for the occasion. She ended up getting Jewels.

ETA:

Got my first dog for my third birthday. He was an Irish Setter. AKC registered name was Sir Sam of Hampton (Hampton was the road we lived on). I just called him Sam. Had him until I was 12. His favorite thing to do was sit in the middle of the backyard like a statue and when a bird would swoop down toward him, he would leap straight up in the air, snatch the bird, and then go bury it somewhere in the yard.

Favorite dogs I ever owned were named Blueberry and Sweet Pea. Had them at the same time. Blueberry was a Blue Heeler. Smartest dog I have ever been around. Sweet Pea was a Beagle/Basset Hound mix, dumb as a box of rocks, and loved to run.

Lost them after Katrina came through N Alabama and a neighbor's tree fell on our fence. Sweet Pea must have taken off and Blue followed her. I looked for those dogs for two years checking at the pound about every 3-5 days. They both had tags on their collars so I hope whatever a-hole picked them up and didn't call me loved them just as much as I did and still do. Miss them everyday!!!

Currently the wife and I have a Yorkie/Cocker Spaniel mix that the wife named Sasha. Wife got her while I was deployed in Iraq back in 2011. She is awesome. She has all the looks of a Yorkie but is the size of a Cocker Spaniel.
