With the Draft coming up, the senior pitcher back in the news. Story sheds some insight from a legal perspective

Heimlich
quote:

“pulled down her underwear and with his hand he touched her private part… She said that she told him to stop, but he wouldn’t.” The girl also said that “Uncle Luke”… “touched her on both the inside and outside of the spot she uses to go to the bathroom. She said that it hurt her… She said that the first time the respondent touched her she was four years old and that she was six years old the last time he did this.”

That motherfu**er!!!! No punishment is good enough. I'm wrong for this, but I could very easily beat him to death.

The fact that this guy is still pitching in major college baseball is sickening.

How the NCAA ever cleared this guy to play again is beyond me when they suspend guys for years for doing much less

pretty much 0 respect for Pat Casey playing the guy, talk about selling your soul for a shot at a championship

Side-note
quote:

it was a mistake by law enforcement, rather than by Heimlich, which caused the failed check-in

If this is true, I'm honestly surprised the guy hasn't tried to sue the department

The worst part of it is he is going to be paid to play baseball in a few short months

Most teams have taken him off their board.

Not defending his actions at all, it was clearly wrong and he deserves whatever punishment the courts deem necessary, but his age when it happened should (and I’m sure was by the courts) taken into account. This was not an adult molesting a child. This was a child molesting a younger child.

Does it make it okay? Of course not! But I definitely don’t agree with anyone that says “lock him up and throw away the key” or some punishment along those lines that IMO would be way too severe for a 14-16 year old in these circumstances.

I think it’s disgusting, but reading into countless legal stories in my life, it’s not out the ordinary for suspects to sign a guilty plea to avoid trial and jail time even if they are innocent. The specifics in the plea we’re to agree to the details written in the charges. Basically it was his word vs a child’s.
How anyone admits to that crime and doesn’t roll the dice in a trial is beyond me. I would rather jail time before I admit to that shite.
His reasoning about not missing a year of baseball is bullshite.
I hate being judgmental without the facts, but it seems pretty odd that baseball was more important than sticking to being not guilty of such a despicable crime. Makes me lean toward he was guilty.

dude no....I don't know about you as a 14 year old but I sure as shite knew molesting a 5-6 year old was uhhh...not cool. Don't even try and defend that shite man.

I'm mostly of the belief that it takes a sick individual to do that. In jail for life? No but he definitely needs to be under close watch for the remainder of his days and never allowed around children alone.
