Soccer is played by the majority of young middle class kids in the U.S. and has been for a while. It's not a poor sport in this country, or in other Western countries. The only people who hate soccer so much are people in the trailer parks.

There are a ton of conservatives in Chicago. They're just not in the majority. My guess is that you'd be shocked to know that there are far more conservatives in California than anywhere in the deep south too though.
