You know what most of these school shootings seem to have in common? They are all in middle class communities with not a ton of crime in the area or kids involved in crime going to the school.

Those types of schools differ from their inner city counterparts in a fairly obvious way...none of them have any real security on hand, as they are not really worried about bad, violent students coming in there and committing crimes on a daily basis. How many have metal detectors versus their inner city counterparts that have to?

I've yet to hear of a story of a school shooter having to shoot their way into a school to kill anyone. They have simply walked right on in and got to work. Seems like an issue that could be addressed before we start removing the rights of law abiding citizens that have frick all to do with committing these crimes...but then I'm more concerned with preventing these things than I am with remodeling America.

And I say this as a guy that owns zero firearms.

Sandy Hook actually had some semblance of security. The doors were all locked on the outside. The shooter had to take out a window with his rifle. So, I guess bulletproof glass is the next step.

Santa Fe had 3 armed officers from what I recall.

Well, there are no schools that have an armed officer at every single entry point, so not sure your point here.

What the hell are you talking about? The shooting just last week had two officers on campus. Is that not "real security"?
