No doubt.... Collin County is on track to exceed Dallas County in the next 10-13years and could see 1.7-1.9 million residents.

Collin is 970,000
Dallas is 2,600,000

It is saturated South of 380, so they would have to spread North. You would be so far removed from Dallas/Fort Worth it would have to be classified it's own metro area.

Percentage growth is such a BS number to rank on because it doesn’t account for base sizes. Absolute population count growth is a more accurate way to rank this list.

My wife grew up and MIL still lives in Tacoma. Right where it turns into Ruston.

I love that area.

Pierce is already growing at a faster rate (%) than King county. I wouldn’t be shocked if gross population growth in Tacoma outpaced Seattle in a few years...they’ve done a great job of capitalizing on every stupid decision made by the city of Seattle and the city council (which is basically a monthly thing at this point).

The progress in just the last 10 years is amazing.

Yeah it would be yet another metro area.

Dallas has been averaging between 1.5-1.9% growth, Frisco grew by 6.2 percent and McKinney grew by 5.9 percent. The national average for annual growth rate for cities in this category is 0.7 percent.

Roughly 82 people move to Collin daily.

I move to Seattle from BR in Nov. 2015...could not have made a better decision. I have been visiting annually since 2008 and my only regret is not moving up sooner. There does seem to be a sense that people are reaching their limit on appetite for taxes and there is a good chance the head tax will be repealed.

Weird metric used for this study, considering the variances between city limits and Metro areas. And the obvious size difference in square miles of city limits.

You will have a relocated downtown population center at the SRT and DNT. It’s already happening.

So if NYC, for example, added 100,000 people, and over the same period, Knoxville added 90,000, you would consider NYC to be experiencing the bigger boom?

It's happening for sure. The infrastructure is supporting the growth and the the medical is right there with it. Collin county already has two major trauma centers and more coming in the next couple of years.
